Climbing

(From Denise)
A brief moment of wifi = highlights....

Western Kansas Winds were a force to be reckoned with.

New State Day:  Crossing the border into Colorado!
Pedaled 105 miles to Eads, Colorado, Halfway Point on the Trans America Trail!

On to Lake Pueblo State Park

We climbed up on the Santa Fe Buttes behind our campsite at sunset....

Saturday on to Royal Gorge, CO

And Sunday into the Rockies

The sun is rising and someone is eager to cross the Continental Divide at Hoosier Pass this morning.  Our highest point on the trail at 11,542 feet!
Much love to everyone!

  1. As you pan the grandeur of the Rockies I think of the grand undertaking of this ride. I love the way you both are sharing the journey and the many beauties of the way. Thanks for sharing them with us.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing all the the wonderful pictures and videos. (Not much shade in the state park in Colorado) It is good to hear from both. I am amazed every day of all that you have seen and what you have done. It seems as though Mark is ahead of schedule.
I would like to see more pics of Denise on the blog. LOL I especially enjoyed Mark's commentary 'A Day in the Life'. I tell everyone I talk to about your journey. (The little UM church that we have attended has Mark on the printed prayer list every week- The minister said in her prayer- "Let's remember the man on a bike!") Love you both!
